Sept 14-18 | 5 Day Locum
The Government of Yukon is seeking a locum physician to provide visiting physician services to the communities of Faro and Ross River between Sept 14-18th. Flexible scheduling is available.
The Faro and Ross River Health Centres operate weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and are staffed with nurses practicing in an expanded scope, with rotating on-call nursing coverage available 24/7/365. Limited point-of-care testing and x-rays for acute chest and limb presentations are available on site, with telehealth support also available.
Under contract, the physician will provide a minimum of 7.5 hours per day for four or five consecutive clinic days, split evenly between the two communities. Half days may be considered to allow weekday travel. Services conclude no later than 5:15 pm daily.
This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in rural and remote medicine within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
