I've been coming to Watson Lake to do locums for years now. I keep coming back because it's a great group of people and setting for rural medicine. You just can't find this type of medicine in a city.– Dr. Morgan Brache
Locum Dates: January 4-February 28, 2027 (minimum of 2 weeks)
Locums should be comfortable working in a rural, remote ER and have had ACLS and ATLS training. PALS is not mandatory but would be an asset. There are no scheduled obstetrical deliveries in Dawson. We support one another during the very rare times when patients are critically ill. Physicians also have the option to provide support to EMS for helicopter extractions at remote sites.
Licensure with the Yukon Medical Council and Hospital Privileges are required.
